About SIRHA Lyon 2027
Dates, Venue, and Organizer
SIRHA Lyon 2027 takes place January 21–25 at Eurexpo Lyon in Chassieu, east of Lyon. GL events and Sirha Food organize the show, which returns every 2 years and has run since 1984. This is the 23rd edition.
SIRHA Lyon 2025 in Numbers
No forecasts for 2027 have been published, so the 2025 edition is the best guide to scale. It welcomed 257,000+ professionals, 2,300 exhibitors, and 4,700 brands. Exhibitors presented 800+ innovations and new products.
Your visitors will walk past many stands selling similar things. Decide what yours must say in the first few seconds.
Who Visits and Who Exhibits
Visitors are chefs, restaurant and hotel owners, buyers, entrepreneurs, and decision makers. They come looking for solutions, ideas, and partners. Exhibitors range from producers and manufacturers to equipment suppliers, distributors, and start-ups.
About 25% of exhibitors are international, and the show has 14 international pavilions. Design for both audiences. A stand has to make sense to a French chef and to a buyer who flew in from abroad.
Why Exhibit at SIRHA Lyon
Reaching Food Service Decision Makers
For 5 days, the buyers and decision makers you want to meet are in the same halls at the same time. They stop at stands where the purpose is obvious.
Put the product at eye level. Keep the longer explanation for the conversation.
Presenting New Ranges to Buyers
A new range competes with a lot of other launches. Show it working, not sitting on a shelf.
Give it a spot visitors can reach from the aisle. Then keep a demo running so people have a reason to step in.
Why Your Stand Matters Here
With this many brands in the halls, you may sit close to someone selling something similar. Size helps, but it rarely decides who gets noticed. Sightlines, a clear product story, and an easy way in usually do more.
The show floor also changes for 2027, with new halls and new visitor routes. Plan around where you are placed, not where you stood last time.
Competitions and Show Programs
SIRHA Lyon 2027 brings together 27 culinary competitions. Check the schedule before you finalize your layout.
Bocuse d'Or Final Competition
The Bocuse d'Or runs January 24–25, 2027, and marks its 40th anniversary. The first edition was in 1987. Over 2 days, 24 candidates compete live in two challenges, Plate and Platter, in front of an audience.
Plan staffing, demonstrations, and any hosted meetings around those 2 days.
Pastry World Cup Final
The Pastry World Cup runs January 22–23, 2027. Teams of 3 compete live in chocolate, artistic sugar, and ice, in front of spectators and an international jury. The competition began in 1989.
Two other events run alongside it. The International Catering Cup takes place January 21, and the French Bakery Cup runs January 21–23. If you sell bakery or pastry products, keep your displays visible from the aisle on those days.
Sirha Innovation Awards 2027
Exhibitors can enter the Sirha Innovation Awards 2027 through their Exhibitor Area. There are 12 awards across 4 categories, and entries close November 16, 2026. The awards give entries a showcase at the show, on sirha.com, and in the press.
If you plan to enter, decide early where the product will sit on your stand. A product that draws attention needs a place visitors can reach.
Stand Design for Food Service
Food service stands tend to go wrong in predictable ways. The queue blocks the demonstration. Storage gets left to the end. Nobody can hold a conversation next to the counter.
Live Cooking and Demo Areas
Design a live cooking area around the service sequence: preparation, cooking, presentation, then tasting. Choose counters, finishes, and seating once that route is clear.
Cooking needs power, water, drainage, and ventilation. Eurexpo's exhibitor service handles electricity, water, compressed air, and overhead fittings. Live cooking also falls under the show's safety rules, so send your equipment list early.
Tasting Without Visitor Congestion
Put the serving point where people can approach from more than one side. Give the queue somewhere to form that is not your aisle frontage. Visitors should watch, sample, and move on without blocking the next person.
Plan sample size, cleaning, and restocking in the layout, not just the counter design.
Storage and Back of House Space
Ingredients, samples, packaging, and waste need a home that visitors do not see. Build in storage for all 5 days. Give staff a route to restock without crossing the tasting queue.
Eurexpo publishes a recycling guide for exhibitors, so plan waste sorting from the start.
Meeting Zones for Buyers
A buyer with a booked meeting expects a seat and a space quiet enough to talk. Visitors request meetings through the Sirha Lyon website or the Sirha Connect app, and you accept or decline them. Size your meeting area to the appointments you expect to accept.
If your stand cannot host them, Eurexpo has 26 modular meeting rooms close to the exhibition halls.
Booth Types We Build for SIRHA
Custom Exhibition Stands for Food Service
Our custom stands cover everything from a compact inline booth to a large island. At a food service show, the layout starts with what the stand has to do: cook, pour, sample, display, or hold a meeting. Then we design around the brand.
The same team builds the booth, graphics, AV, furniture, and technology so the equipment fits the stand it sits in.
Modular Exhibition Stands for Food Service
Our modular exhibition stands give food service exhibitors a flexible structure for displaying products, running demonstrations, serving samples, and meeting buyers. The layout can be planned around the booth size and the way your team needs to use the space.
For SIRHA Lyon, the stand can combine product displays with dedicated demonstration, tasting, storage, and meeting areas while keeping the visitor route clear. The same modular approach can also adapt to different exhibition spaces and brand requirements.
Country and Regional Pavilions
We design pavilions for national and regional groups. We treat the shared structure and the individual exhibitor spaces as one project. That keeps the collective identity consistent while each exhibitor keeps room for its own products.
Double Deck Stands and Rules
A double deck gives you a private meeting level and more visibility. It also comes with construction rules, and the technical regulations set what is allowed on the show floor.
Confirm your stand size, location, and the current rules before you commit to a second level. If it is not allowed or does not suit your space, we will say so. Then we propose a single-level layout that does the same job.
Eurexpo Lyon and Show Requirements
Seven Halls, One Level
Eurexpo Lyon has 7 modular halls, all at ground level, with 3 independent entrances and 13,000 parking spaces. It sits about 20 minutes from Lyon-Saint Exupéry airport. The T5 tram stops at the venue, and the A43 and A46 motorways run close by.
Exhibitors use the East Entrance on Avenue Louis Blériot, from A46 exit 9. Set up and dismantling passes come from the event organizer.
Exhibitor Area and Technical Regulations
Each exhibitor gets an online Exhibitor Area. It holds the exhibitor guide, technical regulations, setup forms, and setup and dismantling schedules. Eurexpo also publishes technical documents for power, water, compressed air, floor anchoring, IT, and overhead suspension.
Eurexpo has set ordering dates for SIRHA Lyon 2027. The discount on technical services ends October 16, 2026. Prices rise December 3, 2026, and orders close January 6, 2027. We plan technical orders alongside the design so they are not left to the end.
Working With the Stand Service
GL events offers its own Stand Design and Installation Service, which supports exhibitors from concept to completion. For a simple space, it can be the quickest route.
A custom builder makes more sense in three cases. The stand carries a specific brand, holds live equipment, or needs a layout a standard package does not cover. Either way, the technical regulations and approvals still apply, and we work within them.
Lead Capture With Sirha Connect
Sirha Connect is the official SIRHA Lyon app. Scan visitor badges at your stand, keep every lead in one place and export them after the show. Meeting requests come through the app too.
Put the scanning point where your team stands, not behind a counter. Make sure at least one person on each shift has the app set up before the doors open.
